You've probably heard about the vitamin biotin before. It has been heralded lately as a great tool for eliminating hair loss for those who are deficient of it. But many people just do not understand how biotin can allow your hair to grow back.
Here's how it works. Biotin is a B vitamin that works well to benefit new growth of hair as well as healthy skin and nail rejuvenation. Most people don't get enough of this vitamin in their diet which usually leads to significant hair loss down the road.
There are various supplements you can find in your local drug store or pharmacy that can give you a good daily amount of it. But if you want you can also include certain foods into your diet that contain biotin. They are soybeans, walnuts, sunflower seeds, and brown rice.
Even egg yolks contain biotin in them. One thing to keep in mind though about biotin is that it binds quite easily to proteins, making it almost totally unavailable in your body. This is what causes you to lack this in your body and experience hair loss.
Definitely stay away from raw eggs, protein powers or those protein bars out there. They will make it very hard for your body to absorb the right amounts of biotin. Even those with type A blood don't have the ability to fully absorb B vitamins.
So while biotin is a great tool for hair loss and regrowing your hair, there are critical things you need to know about it if you are to increase hair growth effectively.
