My Ears Are Open to Your Thoughts

Hello everyone, Christopher Litmon here! It's definitely been a while since I posted to my blog here, so I was wanting to step in and have you guys take a little poll. Many of you have been on my mailing list for awhile, while some of you may be new here.

Why do I care to even know what your hair loss condition is? Well first of all I'm here to help. If you know me then you know that I like to share much of what I know to be true about fighting alopecia. 1. I have been losing my hair since I was 21 and I'm not 50 yrs. old. I don't take any meds. Most of my hairloss is all around the crown of my head and the thickness is no longer there. Very thin. It's very embarrassing.

  7. I started suffering from a receding hairline problem since I am 16 year old thereabouts. I am now 25 year old and has a very high forehead, and need to use my fringe to cover up. The problem is the thickness difference between the "front" and "back" part of my hair is quite obvious and I may be trying in vain to cover up this embarassment.

  8. Hi Chris

I really appreciate the way you reach out to people like me who have a severe hair loss problem. My hair has reached the stage where it is thinnning very heaviIly on the crown as is the pattern with women. To cover the scantiness I use Toppik and that is the only way I can step out with some confidence

  12. Hi Christopher,

I don't have a concern with growing the length of my hair but I have thin and sparse hair. Some skin is showing at the back of my head and I have to comb my hair to cover it but sometimes it does not work. Although my hair falls when I comb it after I shampoo and it always detangles, I do see new hairs sprouting at my hairline on my forehead. Maybe it is new to certain supplements that I take. Also, being Asian I have black hair but gray hairs are sprouting. I understand graying hair is genetic because all the females in my family have to dye their hair. My friend in her 40's does not have any gray hair and her mother in her 70's does not have gray hair. Btw, do you recommend Mira Hair Oil? I am thinking of using a henna hair color for the first time and I wonder how I can incorporate this hair oil with the hair color. I will be flying to the Orient for 2 weddings less than 3 weeks and I hope to start on something right away.

I appreciate very much what you are doing to help us with this comment section.

  13. Hi Christopher,

I am the 54 year old Asian female with black hair. My 22 year old son started losing his hair just before he went to study in China last year. I believe it is due to all those reasons that you say. Will your essential oil recipe work for both him and me? His dad is American and partially bald and he thinks that our son's hair loss is due to my genes because my dad was partially bald. My husband said that he started losing his hair in his 30's not 20's. But I know you say it is not genetic.

  14. hi chris,

thanks a lot for ur blog.It has helped us a lot. the problem with my hair loss is both DHT and low ferritin levels. i tried to take a pill to increase my ferritin, but the pill contained lots of calcium in it, and that extra calcium got deposited in my body and i m facing lots of problems coz of that. and i dont think my ferritin levels are up either.. going to have green tea as u suggested. but i m a vegan and dont know how to raise my ferritin levels with out harming my body. my hair loss is over all thinning of hair and hair loss at temples.do mail me a solution at nssenthilkumaran@gmail.com.

  17. My hair is breaking severely, I am 28, and i started straightening my African hair with chemical relaxers a long time ago,it has only recently started breaking off close to the root. my surprise is that only the scalp at the back of my head itches and hair really breaks off there, i am pretty fine at the front. Even with this problem i can't stop straightening my hair, please advice.

  18. I was born with fine, thin hair. As each year
passes, it gets thinner, especially at the
hairline. I'm not sure how many, but a lot
comes out when I wash my hair. I've been being
very careful while doing so, trying to shampoo
it in place, so that it doesn't become tangled.
That seems to help, but there is more scalp
    showing than I'd like.

  20. Im 27, female and my hair has been falling out loads in the last couple of months. Im not sure wat it is due to. I have bin taking vitamins for the last month and i am now starting to use coconut oil on my hair and this morning i changed my shampoo and am now using coconut shampoo and conditioner. I did notice less hair fell in the shower than normal, not sure weather that is due to me massaging my scalp with coconut oil last night. I really want my hair to grow back and be thicker aswell.

  22. Hello Chris Sir....

i was suffering with my hair problem when my age was 22. now i am 27. i tried many products for my hair still i have no result. Most of my hair loss is at top of my head , hairs became very very thin. i have a oily scalp. after i take bath after washing my head , at the top middle of my head when i rub with my finger nail , a mixture of oil and mud type substance sticks to my nail. i want my scalp to be oily free scalp , and want to regrow my hair thick and beautiful. please.

  24. hey I lost some of my hair like 2 years ago, now I have like two bald patches on the top of my head, now I'm really having to watch my hair because of split ends so I switched to Mane and Tale shampoo cause people say it works for that but the patches are still there, and I would really like to grow that back so my hair looks healthier and thicker.

  25. I'm male and I started losing hair at 19. I'm now 21 and its still really bad. I don't have baldness as such just extreme thinning especially in the temples and front hairline and crown . I also have random bouts of dermatitis and itchiness. I know its not genetic cause I inherited my dads hairline and he didn't start losing his hair until his mid forties and now he's 60 and he still has quite a bit left. All my blood tests say i'm fine and my DHT hormone is at a normal level where it doesn't cause hairloss. A lot of experts and I agree that it started with telogen effluvium but that was almost 2 years ago and I'm not nervous or stressed anymore. I haven't been for over a year

  28. Hey Chris,
My hair has been constantly thinning and falling since I was 18. Now at age 20, my scalp is visible, but the worst part is my hair is fairly thin. I believe it will continue to thin and fall until I'm totally bald. I wish to know the reason for my hair thinning, and falling at such a young age.

  29. hi Christopher

  30. I started losing my hair 5 months after i had twins(a girl& Boy) about 2 years ago around my hairline especially my temples and braided just after that which made it worse. I have used all sort, Dr. Miracle, currently using Doo Gro. I have stopped braiding my hair now for about 1 year so i have stuck to just extensions in order to cover the front.

I kept my hair natural for about a year, after which i cut off all the thinning areas and finally had to relax it last week because i couldn't bear the pain of combing even after conditioning.
My hair currently has more body but the hairline is still not filled out.

I intend to get some essential and carrier oils but i don't know the right proportion and where to get them.

    Thank you.

  32. Hey,

Not sure what's going on, but my hair was thick, full, and coarse in texture at age 45. Then soon after, the texture changed almost overnight to a softer texture, and thinner. I'm now 55, and the temple area is growing with a dry, fine texture through-out the top. Tried vitamins, and scalp cleansers to date. And have been trying to figure out the DHT thing in a natural way..Can you suggest anything?

    Thanks
