Difference Between Male and Female Hair Loss

I've often been asked, "what is the difference between male and female hair loss"? Well this is a question that I'm ready to answer because at one time even I asked the same exact question.

It seems like the poor guys are the ones who lose hair more so than the women. But in reality there are some women out there who are just as bad off as the men. I can recall a woman who had a very receding hairline. It was pretty embarrassing just to look at her as she passed by other people.

The main difference between male and female hair loss is in the way that the hair falls out. Men often experience thinning in one local area. For example Mr. X might lose hair in his crown region, but Mrs. X might have thin hair pretty much all over her head.

So the difference lies in where the thinning takes place. Women lose hair throughout their entire scalp on average, while men only lose hair in one specific spot.

Now don't shoot me down if you're a guy who has lost hair in more than one place on his scalp. This is just a typical difference between the two sexes. It doesn't mean that we can draw a definite conclusion.

This is just a little something that was on my mind and I know you probably have wondered about it yourself.

Talk to you soon,
